An early 19th century French 'Banc Campagnard'.
Typically made in Cherry wood with a simple square back and side draw with a brass handle.

Often called an 'Inglenook' bench in English as it was typical for these small benches to occupy the small area around an open fireplace.

This is a simple piece, great for a hallway or at the end of a table.

There is some old worming but generallly in good condition.
