A modernist bowl or vide poche in the shape of a pear with a delicate stalk and leaf detail. Designed by the Italian designer, Lino Sabattini for Christofle. 

Lino Sabattini (1925–2016) was an Italian designer best known for his silver and metalware. Mentored by Gio Ponti, Sabattini blended a neo classical style with a modernist and minimalist aesthetic.  His refined designs of everyday objects in silver and metals are highly collectible objects.   He designed this bowl for one of the worlds finest silver makers Christofle, founded in 1830 in Paris by Charles Christofle.
