Pascale Zintzen is a multidisciplinary artist based in-between the countryside and Barcelona, Spain. She is inspired by the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, a child like curiosity and the atmospheric landscape surrounding here home. Her work is rooted in her background as an archaeologist specialising in domestic ceramics. She believes ancestral home objects contain a certain spiritual magic in their beauty and represent the 'oikos' of the human being (oikos meaning 'home' in ancient greek). Pascale's ceramic body of work is situated at the intersection of functional art, sculpture and history and her practice is characterised by a slow manufacturing that patiently respects the time and process required for each artwork.
